The Smart Notebook software allows the user to save what they've written on the Smart board for later use. Smart also produce the Smart Essentials pack for teachers.

- The SMART notebook license states that the software can be used free but only if used with a SMART product.
Problems
Unable to open notebook files
Earlier versions of smart notebook saved .xbk files whereas the newer versions (v9+) save in the .notebook format. Whereas later versions are able to open .xbk files there may be problems with some features.
