Notepad++ (Npp) is a syntax highlighting, multi-file editing text editor able to highlight the syntax of many languages. It's a notepad replacement and completely free, being Open Source and all. Npp is able to capture macros to make life easier if you type the same statement a lot. To get the syntax highlighting, save the text file.

AutoComplete

Npp is able to autocomplete a number of languages. To achieve this, begin typing the word and go ctrl+space - a list of options will appear.
