Some information that may be useful.

Certain NEC projectors lock down when the lamp reaches the end of life (regardless of whether it will still work or not) go in to lock down mode. It doesn't clear when you install the new lamp either.

To clear this if there is a 'help' button on the remote, press it until the lamp light goes out. If there isn't a help button press and hold 'power' and 'exit' together until the lamp light goes out.
