Clever Boards
From Jonsdocswiki
Unlike the Smart board, the clever board is not touch sensitive and requires a special, battery powered pen to function. Early generation Clever Boards have a 9pin RS232 connection that uses a Virtual Ink Mimio adapter to convert to USB and do the magic. Later versions have a USB connection straight in.

Using Mimio Software
Mimio Mouse is the software used to allow write on the board, highlight areas etc.
Allowing on the board writing
- Start Mimio
- Put your desired document / backdrop on the screen (e.g. a Word Document)
- Click the pen on the "mimio mouse" box
- Write what you want on the board
- then use capture (the camera icon on the Mimio Mouse bar) to take a screenshot of the work.
Mimio Mouse Controversy
When you elect to use the Mimio mouse software and begin writing, you are actually then seeing a screenshot of what was on the screen as you started. If you ALT+TAB away from Mimio Mouse you won't be able to write without switching back.
