AD-Create a user

In order to login to the domain a person must have a valid user account. The user account is then made part of groups and assigned profiles and home areas as required.
Create the user
- First open Active Directory Users and Computers (or open the administration tool you have been given)
- Browse to the desired Organisational Unit (OU) where you plan to create the user
- Click the new user button (shown above) - you will be shown the new user dialogue
- Enter the names and desired username for the user, click next.
- Enter the password for the user - it is good practise to mark this that the user must change their password at logon.
- Click next, you will be shown a summary.
- Check the summary is correct, click finish
