About this site
This site, mostly, conforms to the W3C standards and is something I strive to comply with. When a page fails to pass, I'll do my best to make it conform, as soon as possible.This site is coded in HTML and PHP and uses a MySQL database as a backend. It seems to get quite a large number of hits.
This site is tested mainly with Mozilla Firefox 1.5 and greater and has known problems with Internet Explorer:
- The banner graphic at the top of the site has a white border - IE does not support PNG transparency which has been a standard for a long time. (fixed in IE7)
- IE makes the site look bad - don't use it.
- IE is user unfriendly and a hazard to your PC's security!!!
Recognition
I'd like to take this oppurtunity to recognise some of the contributors to this site:- The documentation wiki uses MediaWiki (like Wikipedia).
- PHPBB - the smileys used in my blog come from PHPBB, the default set!
- OpenClipart.org - much of the artwork on this site came from OpenClipart. Some of it I have modified further but let's not ignore them.
- 2bgal - My gallery is based on 2bgal
- Other artwork is copyright its respective authors (e.g. banners shown in external links)
